Meet Yoobao
You may not know the name Yoobao yet, but it is certainly not new to consumer electronics.
Established in 2005, Yoobao is a Chinese consumer electronics brand with a product range that has grown well beyond the power banks for which many customers know the company. Today, the Yoobao range includes power banks, charging products and cables, portable power solutions, audio products, portable fans and other personal electronics designed for everyday use.
What we particularly like about Yoobao is that it isn't simply producing one trendy product. It has built a broad range of practical technology around things people actually use every day, whether that's keeping a phone charged, staying powered while travelling, listening to music or keeping cool.
Why Yoobao made sense for Little Wants
Our introduction to Yoobao actually came long before Little Wants.
We had personally used Yoobao products before, including one of their power banks, and had a good experience with it. So when we began looking for products and brands for Little Wants, Yoobao wasn't an unfamiliar name we found in a catalogue. It was a brand we already knew from personal experience.
Living and sourcing in China has also given us a very different perspective on Chinese products.
There is sometimes an assumption that if something is made in China, it must automatically be cheap or poor quality. The reality is very different. China has an enormous consumer market of its own, with established brands producing everything from affordable everyday products to beautifully designed, high-quality technology.
Like anywhere else, quality varies. Where something is made doesn't tell you whether it is good. What matters is who made it, how it was made, and whether the product actually performs.
That's where Little Wants comes in.
We don't want to bring in products simply because they're inexpensive or trending. We want to discover brands, compare products, look at specifications, try things ourselves where possible, and choose the ones we genuinely feel comfortable putting our name behind.
Yoobao is one of those brands.
We're excited to introduce more people in Guyana to the brand and, as Little Wants grows, hopefully bring you even more of the Yoobao products we discover and love.
